While it may not be fair to call this advancement in dentistry high-tech and it is certainly not new, the use of high-power magnification in dentistry is critical for thorough diagnosis and precise treatment.

Dr. Lawler has used magnification for years in the detection and successful treatment of difficult clinical situations. With the aid of surgical telescopes, his ability to see small details is vastly enhanced.

Using surgical telescopes allows Dr. Lawler to magnify the image seen at left to one that looks like the one on the right. Notice how easily the fracture line in the molar is seen at higher magnification.
